Everyone does these #TBT picture posts, and I’m always missing hashtag TBT day. Either I’m too busy or I forget or something. But not today! Today is Thursday and I actually remembered, which means that I get to share a TBT post of my own. *Happy clap*
So here it is: a 15-year-old me at the grounds of the ‘Iolani Palace showing my support for justice for my po’e Kanaka Maoli– the aboriginal people of Hawaii. This 1991 pic (yikes!) was taken at one of many, many, many peaceful events that I have been a part of since I was 12 and am still a part of today.
Guess I should thank my Mom who taught me to always peacefully stand up for equality, justice, and rights for those who are treated unfairly.
