3. Seven facts about myself… uh…

1. My nickname is Maka and people who know me as Maka have no clue who Monica is.
2. My family gave me my nickname when I was just a wee nerd. Other nicknames are Maika, Monchi, Monchichi, Mon-ka-so-le-cheetah, Mom, Mama, MOOOOMMM-look-at-me, MOOOOMMMM-look-at-her/him, MOOOOOM-can-you-help-me-because-I-can’t-find-it, and stupidhead.
3. Maka means eyes/face in Hawaiian, but it also means beloved one/favorite person.
4. Monica means counselor in Latin.
5. I am not a counselor but I do give some great advice if I do say so myself. *Disclaimer: some.
6. I am 1/3 Kanaka Maoli (Native Hawaiian) 1/4 Japanese, 1/4 Chinese, 1/16 Chiracahua Apache, and the rest of me is Portuguese, Spanish, Welsh, Scottish, and French. So basically I am a living, breathing representative of global harmony, racial diversity and good old fashioned peace and love, man.
7. I am addicted to writing, sunshine, the ocean, my family, and laughter. Oh and writing. Did I mention writing? And laughter? And sunshine. And the ocean. And my family…
