Hawaiian Supermom

From the four walls that currently surround you to the infinite potential of space, this week we’d like you to show us your take on room, rooms, or a room.

The pic I chose is of my son’s old room. It’s not as sophisticated as say… Popeye, but it was good enough for my then 8-year-old.

You can’t see them, but I also painted a life-sized Spongebob, Patrick, Plankton, Squidward, Sandy Cheeks, Mr. Krabbs, Pearl and a whole heap of Jellyfish and anemone on the other three walls.

It was a project that took months to complete but when it was finished it was so worth it. The characters pictured, for those who aren’t familiar with Spongebob Squarepants are Larry the Lobster and Bubble Buddy under an underwater sky.

I really, really miss and love this house. We made so many good memories there. Unfortunately, we were one of many families who was negatively impacted by the economy and we had to sell it– or risk losing everything. It makes me want to cry so I’m not going to talk about it. Besides, dwelling on it won’t make things better.

But yeah. There it is.
